The Much-Anticipated Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 ?is expected to launch later this year, along with the rest of the RTX 3000 series. There has been a lot of speculation around these next-gen GPUs from the Nvidia RTX family, and we are now seeing some predictions about what we should expect. For instance, some reports have talked about the already established properties of the Nvidia Ampere that is expected to be a blueprint for the next top Nvidia GeForce Graphics Cards.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 is expected to launch sometime in August of this year with speculated properties getting even more distinct as we inch closer. Reliable reports have hinted at the likely possibility of the Nvidia GPU shipping with 124 compute units coupled with 33 teraflops in its arsenal. To this effect, AIB partners are now selling off the existing stock in preparation for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 ?launch in 2020.???

Nvidia has a tendency too first launch graphics architectures for the data centers and professionals, just like with the Nvidia Turning GPUs, which launched after the Nvidia Volta cards. It is safe to say that the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and the rest of the RTX 3000 series may also follow the same suit.??

The Release Date

Several reports have been heard to say that this next series of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 ?will begin to make appearances at the GPU Technology Conference or GTC. Nvidia has plans to unmask their new Ampere GPU architecture sometime in August and later have it officially launched at Computex 2020 in September of this year. The giant GPU architecture company had in 2018, doing the same thing by launching Turing at Gamescom.

In the previous years, Nvidia GeForce has made it a point to release its flagship products every two years. It has been two years since the launch of the RTX 2080, and now, this year will see the release of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 towards the beginning of the second half of the month. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 was released in May 2016, and its successor, the GeForce RTX 2080 GPU launched in August 2018 GPU enthusiasts, has since been able to count on new flagship graphics cards launching every two years or so.???

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will be much faster than the previous flagship version by almost 40%. It is expected to launch towards the end of this year as well.

The Expected Price Range

There is a bit of speculation on what the starting price of the much anticipated Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 might be. Nvidia, however, plans on making the RTX 3000 series less expensive compared to the Turing family. This approach is geared towards making accelerated cards with ray tracing technology in a bid to make these products appeal more to the markets. 2018?s RTX 2080 Ti GPU is as at now, selling at about $1000, so this isn?t much of a surprise.

?Big Navi? is something the one needs some serious attention in matters concerning the Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics card. When the Nvidia Turing architecture first launched in 2018, there was very little opposition offered by other GPU manufacturers like AMD Radeon. Even after the release of AMD?s flagship GPU, the Radeon VII last year, it did not make it to the level of the GeForce RTX 2080 GPU. But now, AMD has stepped up and has currently released some equally powerful GPUs to keep up with the competition.

The Radeon RX 5600 XT and the RX 5700 series will now force Nvidia to drop their prices a bit lower on the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 to keep up with this new competition.??

Top Specs of the RTX 3080

The Nvidia RTX 3080 will be a 7nm chip and much faster compared to its predecessor, the RTX 2080. One of the reasons that AMD has managed to take over the CPU world against intel is that they?ve successfully managed to design 7nm chips compare to Intel?s 14 nm processor chips. The 7nm Nvidia RTX 3080 chip will now offer some competition t AMD?s dominance in the ability to design these sorts of chips. This immaculate design means that the GPU?s performance will be boosted by over 50% while notably improving power efficiency. Coupling this technology with DLSS will mean that for the first time ever, 4K GPUs will now be made available in mid-range graphics cards

The Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics card is rumored to have about 10GB worth of VRAM coupled with 3840 CUDA cores and a 320-bit memory bus. The processing unit will run at 2000MHz with 4608 GPU cores.

This remarkable GPU will be the first to feature the Nvidia Ampere architecture as it is set to redefine what a graphics card can do while ensuring that the price is pocket-friendly. We can expect it to feature on high-end laptops as well as some upper mid-range computers as well.
